Who You Are Agreeing With
These terms are an agreement between you and ChangeAgents AEC Pty Ltd, a company incorporated in Australia. Its registered office is ChangeAgents AEC Pty Ltd, Hampton Park VIC 3976, Melbourne, Australia. “We” and “us” mean that company.
The product is called Assessor.io. While the platform is in beta it is reached at assessor.bimexcellence.org; at launch it is served from assessor.io, replacing the earlier application published there. Both addresses reach the same platform, and these terms apply whichever one you arrived through.
Who These Terms Bind
These terms apply to everyone who uses Assessor.io: organisations holding an account and the administrators, members and auditors acting within it; participants invited to a campaign; people answering an assessment anonymously through a public link; and machine principals issued API credentials by an account.
Where an organisation has a separate written agreement for the platform, that agreement governs its use and these terms fill the gaps.
The Account’s Own Terms
Each account provides and maintains its own terms and privacy statement for the programme it runs, and shows them where you join a campaign or answer an assessment. Those terms sit alongside these, in the terms the account’s own notice states:
These terms are provided and updated by Account and must be accepted in conjunction with the Assessor.io overall Privacy Policy / Terms of Use. Acceptance of one is an acceptance of both.
Accepting one is accepting both. An account is responsible for the accuracy of the text it publishes and for keeping it current.
Service Access
Signing in uses a BIMei account through BIMei CID, and is subject to CID’s own terms. Your access to a particular workspace is determined by the roles and permissions that account’s administrators grant you; they can change or withdraw them at any time. A signed-in session lasts at most eight hours before you are asked to sign in again.
You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity performed through the principals your account controls, including API credentials it issues. Anonymous assessment links and access codes are bearer credentials: whoever holds one can act with it, so treat them accordingly.
Acceptable Use
You may not use the platform to break the law, to bypass or probe its security and tenancy controls, to reach data belonging to an account you have not been given access to, to interfere with its availability, or to submit malicious content. Automated access must stay within the published rate limits and use credentials issued to you.
Account owners are responsible for provisioning and revoking member access in line with their own governance, and for the lawfulness of the campaigns they run — including having a basis to contact the people they invite and to ask what they ask.
Data and Content
The content an account creates is the account’s own: its templates, questionnaires, campaigns, participant records and the responses collected through them. By using the service you authorise us to store and process that content in order to operate assessments, campaigns, communications and reporting, as described in the Privacy Policy. We claim no ownership of it.
Assessment content supplied with the platform is a different thing, and it is licensed rather than given. Reference material such as the RPF statement corpus and BIM Dictionary terms remains the property of its authors and is licensed for use inside Assessor.io, with attribution. It may not be redistributed, republished or sold on outside the platform, and where it leaves the platform in an export the attribution must stay with it.
SurveyJS, the questionnaire engine the platform runs on, is used under a commercial licence held by ChangeAgents AEC Pty Ltd. That licence covers your use of Assessor.io; it does not extend to you for any other purpose.
Beta Service, Liability and Closing an Account
Assessor.io is in beta. It is provided as it is and as it is available: we give no service level commitment, and no warranty that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose. Beta accounts are provided free of charge; there are no fees and no billing terms for the beta, and the commercial terms for the full service will be published before it leaves beta.
To the extent the law allows, our total liability arising out of or in connection with the service is limited to the fees you have paid us for it. A free beta account pays nothing, so that limit is nil.
When an account closes, you have 30 days from closure to export the account’s data. After that period the account’s data is deleted.
Availability and Changes
We may change features to improve reliability, security and compliance. Material legal changes are published on this page with a new date and a new version, shown below.
